Each year to government can give themselves a pay raise, but not the military retirees, but they can raise how much taxes we have to pay. We live on a fixed income and now that fixed income is short by almost a 60 a month because of taxes. It's been years since we have seen a pay increase and we have been fine with that, but raising our taxes is bullshit. My husband served our country for 24.5 years was in Vietnam, He was even stationed in Iran when it fell and was one of the last people out alive at one point he had an AK-47 sitting on his temple, He like myself served in Dessert Storm.
Right now we are fighting with Tri-Care to operate on his heart as he needs a valve replaced and they don't want to pay for it. Shit they paid for his cancer treatment so why not this heart. Our insurance cost went up also we used to pay under 500 a year and now it's 2000 a year.
